Tony West

Tony West, works as a videographer covering professional sports such as Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, the National Football League and the Professional Golf Association. He is a two time National Emmy Award winner for his coverage of Major League Baseball. Prior to entering the sports arena he worked in network news for ABC NEWS, CBS NEWS, and NBC NIGHTLY NEWS.

In 2010 West took a detour from sports to Produce the documentary “The Safe Side of the Fence”, a film that looks at our Nation’s nuclear legacy. How our nuclear endeavors effected the workers performing the work and that of the public who’s communities were effected . We Only Have One Planet: Thousands of men and women went to work to protect this country during the Manhattan Project and the Cold War, but we didn’t protect them. Many of these workers were exposed to some of the most dangerous materials known to man. A discussion about how our failure to protect the earliest nuclear workers would not only put them at risk but also the public and the environment from our mishandling of radioactive waste. Nuclear Weapons, Power and Medicine. Where do we put the waste from this work, how do make sure it’s handled properly so we can insure the safety of workers and protect the environment.

Tony West lives and works in St. Louis, Missouri.
